If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1:5-8
Pray
Father just as I believe the ocean waves will always roll in after the water descends, I believe that You have, are, and will always be here for me. You are a constant, never changing or wavering in Your love for me. There are things that I pray for that only You can provide. I ask with the firm belief that if it is meant for me to have, You will provide the way at the time You see fit.
I have no expectations Lord, I just have joy for all of the blessings You have provided me, because I know that it is Your will and grace that makes things possible for me; it is Your desire and not my influence that brings about the changes in my life. When I am scared You comfort me. When I can’t see the path ahead, You illuminate it. When I have doubt You silence me.Thank You Father. In Your name I pray. Amen.
Reflection
We either believe or we don’t. We can’t roll in one day like a parade, praising our Father, then roll out the next like the traveling circus shutting down for the season. Where do we stand? Ambassadors for Christ are to be lifelong representatives who believe in Him and His greatness, both in good and bad times. Why do we change like the wind? Why do we place conditions on our relationship with God and Jesus? When will we stop saying we want to be more like Jesus, and start behaving, thinking, and speaking more like him? What will it take for us to commit 100% to God? What will it take for us to REALLY believe? What will it take for you to believe 100%…100% of the time? Let’s think about it!
Love always,
Natasha
